people used to come to the harsh. they'd come from all over the country and from outside the country to do work at the harsh in these papers. since these papers -- you know where i'm going -- they're now available in print. why come to chicago? [laughter] and that's a greater problem that's involved. if you don't come to the harsh, you lose what? the possibility of collaborating with scholars who are doing work here and with the staff and, very importantly, looking at related collections. of so on the one hand, we're blessed with this. on the other hand, brian, watch yourself when you leave.
